economy
For centuries, the residents of Blomac lived on their own farm work, which of course also included viticulture - the red, rosé and white wines produced in the municipality are sold through the appellations of Aude , Languedoc , Pays Cathare , Minervois , Pays d'Oc and Coteaux de Peyriac markets. Agriculture with wheat, barley and potatoes also played an important role. Sheep and goats were also raised for the wool, cheese, and meat. Nowadays, many vacant houses have been converted into holiday apartments ( gîtes ).
