The canton of Saissac was a French canton in the Aude department in the Languedoc-Roussillon region until 2015 . It comprised eight parishes in the Arrondissement of Carcassonne ; its main town (French: chef-lieu ) was Saissac . The nationwide changes in the composition of the cantons resulted in its dissolution in March 2015.

The canton was 136.65 km 2 and last had 3464 inhabitants (as of 2012), which corresponded to a population density of 25 inhabitants per km 2 . It was on average at 532  m , between 166  m in Saissac and 907  m in Cuxac-Cabardès.
