The canton of Plaintel (Breton Canton Pleneventer ) is a French canton in the arrondissement of Saint-Brieuc , in the department of Côtes-d'Armor , in the region of Brittany ; its main town is Plaintel .
history
The canton was created with the reorganization of the cantons in France in 2015. The communes used to belong to the cantons Moncontour (5 communes), Plœuc-sur-Lié (4 communes) and Plouguenast (1 commune).

In the first ballot on March 22, 2015, none of the four voting pairs achieved an absolute majority. In the runoff election on March 29, 2015, the team Thibaut Guignard / Delphine Martin (both Union de la droite) won against Jérôme Le Nouvel and Nadine L'Echelard (both DVG ) with a share of the vote of 56.07% (turnout: 60.11 %).
