The canton of Mûr-de-Bretagne (Breton: Canton Mur ) is a French constituency in the arrondissement of Saint-Brieuc , in the department of Côtes-d'Armor and in the region of Brittany ; its main town is Guerlédan .

history

The canton was established on February 15, 1790. From 1801 to 2015 five municipalities belonged to the canton of Mûr-de-Bretagne. With the reorganization of the cantons in France, the number of communes rose to 24. In addition to the 5 communes of the old canton of Mûr-de-Bretagne, there were all 7 communes of the previous canton of Uzel , all 5 communes of the previous canton of Corlay , 4 of the 6 communes of the canton of Loudéac and 3 of the 5 communes of the canton of Plouguenast .

In the first ballot on March 22, 2015, none of the four voting pairs achieved an absolute majority. In the runoff election on March 29, 2015, the team Céline Guillaume / Loïc Roscouët (both LR) won against Monique Le Clézio / Fabris Trehorel (both PS) with a share of the vote of 60.99% (turnout: 62.96%).
