The Canton Plancoët (Breton: Canton Plangoed ) is a French canton in the Arrondissement Dinan , in Côtes-d'Armor and in the region of Brittany ; its main town is Plancoët .
history
The canton was established on February 15, 1790. From 1801 to 2015, nine municipalities belonged to the canton of Plancoët. With the reorganization of the cantons in France, the number of communes rose to 18. In addition to the previous nine communes of the old canton Plancoët, 8 of the 9 communes of the previous canton Plélan-le-Petit and one municipality from the canton Ploubalay were added.

In the first ballot on March 22, 2015, none of the three voting pairs achieved an absolute majority. In the runoff election on March 29, 2015, the pairing Marie-Christine Cotin / Michel Desbois (both Divers droite) won against Pascale Guilcher / Philippe Meslay (both Union de la Gauche) with a share of the vote of 55.20% (turnout: 59.50 %).
