The canton Trégueux (Breton canton Tregaeg ) is a French canton in the arrondissement of Saint-Brieuc , in the department of Côtes-d'Armor and in the region of Brittany ; its main town is Trégueux .

history

The canton was created with the reorganization of the cantons in France in 2015. It is the successor of the canton Langueux with identical municipalities but a new capital.

The canton is located in the north of the Côtes-d'Armor department.

In the first ballot on March 22, 2015, none of the four voting pairs achieved an absolute majority. In the runoff election on March 29, 2015, the team Sylvie Guignard (UDI) / Fernand Robert (Union de la droite) won against Christine Gacel / Bertrand Le Beau (both PS ) with a share of the vote of 51.17% (turnout: 54.64 %).
