The canton Lamballe (Breton canton Lambal ) is a French canton in the arrondissement of Saint-Brieuc , in the department of Côtes-d'Armor and in the region of Brittany ; its main town is Lamballe-Armor .
history
The canton was established on February 15, 1790. From 1801 to 2015, eleven communities belonged to the canton of Lamballe. With the reorganization of the cantons in France, the number of municipalities rose to 12. In addition to the previous municipalities of the old canton of Lamballe, the municipality of Hénansal of the previous canton of Lanvollon was added.

In the first ballot on March 22, 2015, none of the five voting pairs achieved an absolute majority. In the runoff election on March 29, 2015, the pairing Marie-Christine Cléret (PS) / Robert Rault (Divers gauche) won against Jean-Luc Guymard / Rosalie Le Boëdec (both DVD ) with a share of the vote of 53.71% (turnout: 56 , 03%).
