The canton Loudéac (Breton canton Loudieg ) is a French canton in the arrondissement of Saint-Brieuc , in the department of Côtes-d'Armor and in the region of Brittany ; its main town is Loudéac .
history
The canton was established on February 15, 1790. From 1801 to 2015, six municipalities belonged to the canton of Loudéac. With the reorganization of the cantons in France, the number of communes rose to 11 in 2015. Four of the six previous communes moved to the canton of Mûr-de-Bretagne . In addition to the two remaining communes in the old canton of Loudéac, all 9 communes in the previous canton of La Chèze were added.

In the first ballot on March 22, 2015, none of the three voting pairs achieved an absolute majority. In the runoff election on March 29, 2015, the team Béatrice Boulanger / Romain Boutron (LR) won against Jean-Paul Duault / Clémence Jouan (both DVG ) with a share of the vote of 61.68% (turnout: 56.85%).
