Yffiniac ( Breton : Ilfinieg in Gallo : Finia ) is a French municipality with 5010 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Côtes-d'Armor in the region of Brittany . It belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Brieuc and the canton of Trégueux . The inhabitants are called Yffiniacais (es) .

geography

Yffiniac is about 7 kilometers southeast of Saint Brieuc . Yffiniac is surrounded by the neighboring communities Hillion in the north and northeast, Pommeret in the east, Quessoy in the south, Plédran in the southwest, Trégueux in the west and Langueux in the northwest. In the north, the municipality borders on the bay of the same name by Yffiniac in the Gulf of Saint-Malo in the English Channel . The National Route 12 runs through the municipality . Yffiniac station is on the Paris – Brest railway line .
