Le Mené is located about 30 kilometers southeast of Saint-Malo and about 66 kilometers west-northwest of Rennes in the eastern half of the Côtes-d'Armor department.

population

Despite migration to the cities, the high birth rate led to strong population growth until the beginning of the First World War (1793-1911: + 26.9%). Hundreds of men were killed in action during the First World War. In addition, there was the influenza wave of 1918. In the ten years between 1911 and 1921, the population fell by 1,384 people (or 12%). The mechanization of agriculture encouraged rural exodus in the 20th century. The number of residents has fallen to a historic low until recently (1921-2006: -38%).
