The 1953/54 season was the eighth season of the Class A as the highest Soviet ice hockey league . The Soviet championship title was secured for the second time by Dynamo Moscow .
mode
The nine teams of Class A played in the main round in a return match against each group opponent, whereby the number of games per team was 16. The team with the most points became champions, while the bottom of the table was relegated to the second division. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
