The 1954/55 season was the ninth season of Class A as the highest Soviet ice hockey league . The ZSK MO Moscow secured the Soviet championship title for the fourth time .

The ten teams of Class A played in the main round in a return match against each group opponent, whereby the number of games per team was 18. The team with the most points became champions. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
