Accomplices film
The complicity Film GmbH is a film production company , focusing on movies specializes. The company's headquarters are in Munich , and another location was added in Berlin in 2006 . Among the best known works of the company with the one European Film Award excellent tragicomedy Toni Erdmann (2016).
Company history
In 1999, Maren Ade and Janine Jackowski founded the company Accomplizen Film. At that time they were studying together at the University of Television and Film in Munich: Maren Ade in the Film and TV Drama Department, Janine Jackowski in the Production and Media Management Department .
In 2000 the company's first production, the short film Ebene 9, directed by Maren Ade, was released . It was shown at various film festivals, including the Hof International Film Festival, the Max Ophüls Prize in Saarbrücken , the Stuttgart Film Festival and the Braunschweig Film Festival . In 2001 he was awarded the Starter Prize of the City of Munich. The documentary Karma Cowboy , published in 2002, was shown at festivals across Europe and received the Prix Regards Neufs at the Visions du Réel film festival in Nyon and the Bavarian documentary film prize Der Junge Löwe at the Munich Film Festival .
Since September 2010 Jonas Dornbach has been a permanent member of the producer at accomplices film. In 2015, the company was awarded the DEFA Foundation's prize for outstanding achievements in German film .
In 2016, the accomplice film production Toni Erdmann attracted international attention , which was awarded the European Film Prize and an Oscar nomination for best foreign language film .
At the Locarno International Film Festival 2019, the production company was awarded the Leopard of Honor, the Premio Raimondo Rezzonico, one of the world's most important honors for film producers.
