Laetitiae sanctae

Laetitiae sanctae (The Holy Joy) is an encyclical written by Pope Leo XIII. , in which he sets out the " Rosary and the right order of the human social community", it was published on September 8, 1893.

  • In his greeting he mentions "the holy joy" of his 15th year in office and thanks the believers and the brothers in office for the loyalty they have shown. He describes the connection to the Blessed Mother Mary and the prayer of the rosary as a special inspiration and calls back to the month of October as the month of the rosary.
