Fight against Freemasonry

He describes Freemasonry as hostile forces that have tried to change society , and in particular they are directed against the Church , which has thereby been called to holy war. He refers to his predecessors, who would have done everything to fend off these attacks.

The church tried to condemn these harmful attacks and brought the underground machinations to the light of day. Although this struggle is promising, he sees Catholicism at risk and the Italian people have not yet clearly recognized the impending danger. The heretical attacks are like a contagious disease that is spreading more and more and causing great damage to Christian civilization .

These people have also tried the lower clergy to the opposition to animate by false promises had submitted to it. But in this matter they underestimated the virtue of the clergy, they failed to diminish their dedication and loyalty . It is therefore important for the bishops to protect their flock and to strengthen their inner bond. However, the pagan hordes would run in vain against strong forces.
