The Baden regional soccer league (consisting of the three seasons Mittelbaden, Odenwald and Rhein-Neckar) is the second-highest league of the Badischer Fußballverband and, according to the state leagues, the seventh highest league in the German league system after DFB state associations . Along with the Landesliga Südbaden and the Landesliga Württemberg, it is one of three regional leagues in Baden-Württemberg .
The champions of the three seasons of the Baden regional league are automatically promoted to the Baden association league . The three runners-up take part in the relegation round to the Association League, in which they initially compete against each other in two knockout rounds . The runner-up, who ultimately prevails, has to compete in another relegation game against the federation league club, which landed there on the relegation place. Since the normal number of teams in the three relays differs, there are different relegation regulations. If there are more relegated from the association league and promoted from the district leagues than relegated to the district league and promoted to the association league, the number of teams increases, which means that a "tightened" relegation regulation can come into effect in the following season.
structure
