Lerín is a Spanish municipality in the Comunidad Foral de Navarra and the Comarca Estella Oriental. It has 1725 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2019) and is 55 km from Pamplona .
Neighboring municipalities are: Allo , Oteiza de la Solana and Larraga in the north, Miranda de Arga and Falces in the east, Andosilla and Cárcar in the south and Sesma in the west.
history
There has been a castle in Lerín since the middle of the 11th century, which belonged to the King of Navarre. In 1425, King Charles III. of Navarre to the county of Lerín for his illegitimate daughter Juana, who was married to Luis de Beaumont .
