Linjowo ( Russian Линёво ) is an urban-type settlement in Novosibirsk Oblast ( Russia ) with 20,707 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).
geography
The settlement is located about 80 km south of the Oblast capital Novosibirsk between the rivers Koinicha and Schipunicha, which flow further north into the Ob tributary Berd . At the Koinicha there is a small dam to the west of the village.
Linjowo belongs to Iskitim Rajon and is located about 20 kilometers south of its administrative center Iskitim .
history
The place was created in the 1960s in connection with the construction of an electrical engineering plant. In 1974 it received urban-type settlement status.

Economy and Infrastructure
The building company is a large electrotechnical plant ( Novosibirski elektrodny zavod / Novosibirsker Elektrodwerk ) a few kilometers south of the settlement. There are also companies in the construction industry.
Linjowo is on the railway line from Novosibirsk to Barnaul and on to Kazakhstan (formerly known as the Turkestan-Siberian Railway ). Linjowo station is located south of the settlement near the electrode factory; The Koinicha stop with suburban traffic from Novosibirsk and Barnaul is located near the center of the village .
The M52 trunk road from Novosibirsk via Novoaltaisk near Barnaul and Bijsk to the Mongolian border bypasses the place to the west.
