List of dioceses in Germany
The list of dioceses in Germany provides an overview of the dioceses and other areas of jurisdiction of episcopal ( episcopal ) constituted churches in the territory of the Federal Republic of Germany . This form of church constitution is common in the pre-Reformation churches , but not in the Protestant churches . The system of this list follows the list of Christian denominations . Dioceses with headquarters outside Germany are also accepted if their area of jurisdiction extends to German territory.

Protestant churches
Evangelical Church in Germany
The Evangelical Church in Germany is not organized in dioceses, but in regional churches whose territorial layout is partly still based on the states of the German Empire, see overview of Evangelical regional churches .
The heads of some regional churches bear the title of regional bishop , others the title of superintendent . The Bremen Evangelical Church has no spiritual leader.
Methodist Church in Germany
The UMC / UMC is divided into three annual conferences in Germany (NJK, OJK, SJK), together they form the German central conference, which is congruent with the area of the Bischofssprengels. Bishop Rosemarie Wenner is currently in charge of the conferences and the Sprengel Deutschland .
Association of Evangelical Free Churches
The Federation of Evangelical Free Churches ( Baptists and Brethren ) is organized in 13 regional associations (formerly: associations ). The Working Group of the Brethren is a 14th association that operates across Germany .
Evangelical Lutheran Church of Latvia

New Apostolic Church
The New Apostolic Church is divided into District Churches, which are led by District Apostles. In Germany there are ten District Churches in six District Apostle areas. The 6 German District Apostle areas are: Southern Germany , North Rhine-Westphalia , Berlin-Brandenburg , Hesse / Rhineland-Palatinate / Saarland , Central Germany and Northern Germany .
