The following list of countries by inflation rate sorts states according to their annual rate of increase in the price of goods and services. Very high inflation leads to rapid currency devaluation and can have very negative effects on an economy . Falling prices ( deflation ) can also have harmful effects.
In 2018, the inflation rate ranged from −2.8% in Burundi to 65,374.1% in Venezuela . The average global inflation rate was 2.41%.
