Malinowski ( Russian Малино́вский ) is an urban-type settlement in the West Siberian Autonomous Okrug of Khanty and Mansi / Ugra ( Russia ) with 2755 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).

The settlement is located in the West Siberian lowlands about 335 kilometers as the crow flies west of the administrative center of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug . Malinovsky borders on the Pionersky urban-type settlement to the east and the Aljajewski settlement to the north . Coming from the northwest, the river Etja ( Етья , also called Ейтья / Eitja ) flows around the town to the south. The nearest town, Jugorsk , is 30 kilometers northeast.

As to the administrative division, Malinowski belongs to the Sowetski rajon . In addition, it is the administrative seat of the municipality of the same name Gorodskoje posselenije Malinowski ( Городское поселение Малиновский ), which includes Malinowski and the Jubileiny settlement .

history

The place was created in the early 1960s as a work settlement ( Lesopunkt , Russian лесопункт ) for the local workers in the wood industry.

Name derives from the place was, in the Tyumen Oblast resident, Malinowski-forestry operation ( Малиновский ЛПХ ). This had its administrative seat in the village of Malinowka . After the wood reserves in the region ran out in the 1950s, the company was relocated to the current Malinowski settlement in 1963. The area around Malinowski was a year earlier, with the construction of the nearby station Aljajewo ( Алябьево ) at the railway ivdel - Priobye were opened, for freight transport. The conversion of the Leso point to the Malinowski forestry enterprise on April 4, 1963 is considered to be the day the settlement was founded.

In 1986 Malinowski received urban-type settlement status.

Culture and sights

In Malinowski there is the wooden, Orthodox Church of the Mother of God ( Храм Рождества Пресвятой Богородицы ) , which was completed in 1997 .

The place has a cultural center, a library and a sports complex with a hockey field.

Economy and Infrastructure

The most important branch of the economy in the place is the wood industry. The main employer is the Malinowski forestry company .

Malinowski is located on the Iwdel - Priobje railway line, which opened in 1969. The nearest train station Aljajewo is in Pionerski, a few kilometers away. There is a regional road connection to Ivdel and Jugorsk.
