Marie-Luise Lichtenthal (born September 20, 1959 in Seifhennersdorf in Oberlausitz ) is a German set and costume designer .

Life

After training as an MTA and working at the district hospital in Zittau , Marie-Luise Lichtenthal studied costume design at the Dresden University of Fine Arts from 1990 to 1995 . She then worked from 1995 to 2001 as a set and costume designer at the German National Theater in Weimar . Lichtenthal has been a freelance outfitter for dance theater , drama , puppet theater , opera and film since 2001 . She worked u. a. at the Dortmund Theater , at the Kassel State Theater , at the Jena Theater , at the Neuköllner Oper Berlin , film production "Ostlicht" Weimar, at the Theater der Jugend in Vienna , at the Vorarlberger Landestheater in Bregenz , Landestheater Coburg , at the Garage X in Vienna, at the State Opera Hanover and at the Dresden State Theater . Since 2005 she has combined numerous productions with the Vorarlberg project theater and the director Susanne Lietzow . In the critics' survey conducted by the magazine Theater heute , she was nominated as Young Artist of the Year 2014 for her costume design Klaus in the wardrobe at the Dresden State Theater .

Marie-Luise Lichtenthal lives and works in Weimar and Schwertberg ( Upper Austria ). She is the mother of a son.
