The Midland Township is one of 28 townships in St. Louis County in the eastern part of the US -amerikanischen state of Missouri and part of the metropolitan region of Greater St. Louis . In 2010 , the Midland Township had 34,636 residents.

The Midland Township is located in the western suburbs of St. Louis about five kilometers southeast of the Missouri River . The Mississippi , which forms the border with Illinois , is about 15 km east of the Midland Township.
The Midland Township is located at 38 ° 42 ' N , 90 ° 22' W and extends over 23.3 km².
The Midland Township is located in the northern center of St. Louis County and is bordered by the Airport Township to the north, Normandy Township to the east, University Township to the southeast, Creve Coeur Township to the south and Maryland Heights Township to the west .

The Interstate 170 , the western inner bypass of St. Louis, resulting in a north-south direction through the center of Midland Township. US Highway 67 runs parallel through the west of the township . The Missouri State Route 180 is mostly the northeastern boundary of the township. All other streets within the township are inner-city connecting streets.
In the west-east direction runs a railway line of the Union Pacific Railroad through the area of the Midland Township, which is also used by the passenger trains from Amtrak .
The Lambert-Saint Louis International Airport is located about seven kilometers north of Midland Township.
