The Mitsubishi Sapporo was a four-door sedan in the upper middle class that Mitsubishi Motors offered in Europe from June 1987. This in turn was based on the Mitsubishi Galant introduced in the summer of 1984 and was also sold in Japan as the Mitsubishi Galant Sigma .

The Sapporo was offered with a 2.4-liter engine with 91 kW (124 hp), which could be combined with either a four-speed automatic or a five-speed manual transmission. The Sapporo offered some technical refinements such as an electronically controlled chassis or automatic air conditioning.

This era also ended in August 1990. The successor was the Mitsubishi Sigma .
