NBA All-Star Game 2014
The 2014 NBA All-Star Game took place on February 16, 2014 at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans , home of the New Orleans Pelicans . The All-Star Game of the NBA was so after 2008 held for the second time in New Orleans. It ended with a 163-155 victory for the East selection. The result made the game the most points-scoring NBA All-Star Game in history. Kyrie Irving was voted Best Player of the Game .

Head coaches ( German head coach ) of the two All-Star teams are traditionally the two coaches whose team two weeks before the game leading the respective Conference. For the team of the Western Conference was Scott Brooks , coach of the Oklahoma City Thunder , and the team of the Eastern Conference Frank Vogel , coach of the Indiana Pacers , in charge. It was Brooks' second and Vogel's first appearance as head coach of an all-star team.
Squad
The players (two guards and three front court players per conference) who received the most votes by fan vote were set for the starting grid. After the election, the 30 head coaches of the NBA clubs selected a further seven players for their conference team (two guards, three front court players and two other position-independent players), so that a total of 24 players (+ subsequently nominated players) take part in this game.
* James Harden moved into the starting five for injured starter Kobe Bryant.
