NGC 1570 = NGC 1571 is an elliptical galaxy of the Hubble type E2 in the constellation Caelum in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 191 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 85,000 light years in diameter .
The object was discovered by John Herschel on December 4, 1836 .
