NGC 745 is a lenticular galaxy in the constellation Eridanus , which is about 259 million light years away from the Milky Way and, together with PGC 95386 and 2MASX J015407.7-564116, forms a congratulatory galaxy trio.
It was discovered on October 27, 1834 by the British astronomer John Frederick William Herschel .
