NGC 753 is a barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBbc in the constellation Andromeda in the northern sky . It is an estimated 225 million light years from the Milky Way and about 195,000 light years in diameter . The galaxy is considered a member of the Abell 262 galaxy group .
In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 732 , NGC 759 , IC 171 , IC 178 .

The supernova SN 1954E was observed here.

The object was discovered on September 16, 1865 by the German-Danish astronomer Heinrich Louis d'Arrest .
