Nitterscheid is a district of Bad Münstereifel in the district of Euskirchen , North Rhine-Westphalia and belongs to the village community and formerly independent municipality of Mutscheid .
location
The place is southeast of Bad Münstereifel. State road 165 runs on the northern outskirts, and county road 55 from Esch to Ohlerath on the west . The county road separates the village from the district of Escher Heide .
history
Nitterscheid belonged to the independent community of Mutscheid until it was incorporated into Bad Münstereifel on July 1, 1969.
St. Florian Chapel
The chapel was built in 1949/50 and consecrated to Mary and Joseph . After a renovation in 1979/80, St. Florian became its patron saint. The building is still there today, but is no longer used as a chapel, but as a storage room.
