Wasserscheide is a residential area that belongs to the town of Bad Münstereifel in the district of Euskirchen , North Rhine-Westphalia and to the village community and formerly independent community of Mutscheid .

The village is located about 10 km southeast of the core town of Bad Münstereifel and belongs to the village of Esch, 500 m further south . Its name is derived from the watershed between the rivers Erft in the north and Ahr in the south, which runs through the village. On the south-western outskirts of the village, state road 165 runs from Bad Münstereifel to Schuld , while state road 113 to Rheinbach and Bonn begins on the north-west .
