Nonstop was a Portuguese pop band .

Band history

Nonstop was created in early 2001 from the Portuguese version of the Popstars singing competition , broadcast by SIC . The band initially consisted of 5 singers. Their cast was first announced on April 4, 2001.

Their first album nonstop was released on July 16, 2001 and achieved gold status. Fátima Sousa left the band in January 2002 after just six months. In 2004 the four remaining singers made a comeback. Her second album Tudo Vai Mudar was released on May 5, 2004.

On March 10, 2006, Nonstop with Coisas de nada won the Portuguese preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest , the Festival da Canção in Lisbon . At the European semi-final in Athens on May 18, 2006, with 23 participants, it was only enough for a disappointing 19th place.
