geography

The community is located on the outermost edge of the Weser Uplands, around 30 kilometers west of the state capital Hanover . The village is three kilometers away from the district town of Stadthagen to the south .

history

Nordsehl was created between 1203 and 1228 as the first Hagenhufendorf in the " Dülwald " and was created by the Counts of Roden-Wunstorf. The documented mentions of the place go back to the year 1236. Count Konrad von Limmer gave the Marienwerder monastery a curie in Havelse and received two tithe in Norcele . From 1269 to 1602 the von Münchhausen landlords were in Nordsehl and Lüdersfeld . When the county of Schaumburg was divided in 1647, Nordsehl fell to the Lippe part, that is to say to the future Principality of Schaumburg-Lippe . Responsible was the Stadthagen office, which was opened in 1884/1885 in the Stadthagen-Hagenburg district office. From 1899 to 1948 it was the district of Stadthagen, which from 1948 to July 1977 formed the district of Schaumburg-Lippe with the district of Bückeburg. Since March 1, 1974, the community has belonged to the integrated community of Niedernwöhren, which was created in the course of the Lower Saxony regional reform and has belonged to the newly formed district of Schaumburg since August 1, 1977.

In 1929 parts of the disbanded manor district of Brandenburg-Gallhof were incorporated. These parcels were given to the city of Stadthagen during the municipal reform on March 1, 1974.
