Pohle is a municipality in the district of Schaumburg in Lower Saxony , Germany . The community is part of the joint community of Rodenberg .

geography

The community is located in the Deister-Süntel Valley and in the Weserbergland Schaumburg-Hameln Nature Park between Hameln and Hanover. To the north of the locality, the BAB 2 touches the community. The B 442 runs to the east . The Pohler Bach runs along the main street .

The community consists of the pile created as a pile village and the Wischmühle designated as a residential area.

The neighboring communities of Apelern , Lauenau , Messenkamp , Hülsede and Auetal are located clockwise .

history

The first documentary mention was made in 850 as Padlo . Other spellings were 1,182 Palden and Valden , 1300 Polde , 1309 Pölde , 1492 Poelde and mid-16th century Poilde . The oldest form of the name means shrine and refers to pagan times and an ancient settlement.

Around 1600 Pohle was divided into three parts. The larger part belonged to the Rodenberg office, two smaller parts belonged to the Schaumburg and Lauenau offices. In 1648 when the old county of Schaumburg was divided, half of the village and the field mark were assigned to the Hessian part. The other half went to the Kingdom of Hanover. The separation did not end until 1831. Kurhessen ceded its share to Hanover. From 1866 Pohle belonged to the Prussian province of Hanover and was assigned to the Springe district when districts were formed in 1885. On March 1, 1974, it was incorporated into the Grafschaft Schaumburg district. At the same time, the joint community of Rodenberg was formed with the communities of Apelern, Hülsede, Lauenau, Messenkamp and the city of Rodenberg. The newly formed district of Schaumburg has been responsible since 1977 .

religion

Pohle had its own chapel, which was fought over by the pastors in Apelern and Lauenau. The parishes' jurisdiction often changed.

  • The Evangelical Christians belong to the Evangelical Lutheran. St. Lukas parish of Lauenau.
  • The Catholic faithful belong to the parish Maria of the Holy Rosary in Bad Nenndorf and use the St. Markus branch church in Lauenau.

Municipal council

The council of the municipality of Pohle consists of nine councilors and councilors. This is the specified number for the member municipality of an integrated municipality with a population between 501 and 1000 inhabitants. The council members are elected for a five-year term by local elections. The current term of office began on November 1, 2016 and ends on October 31, 2021.

mayor

Jörg-Wilhelm Hupe ( CDU ) has been the mayor of the community since November 15, 2010 . He succeeded Gerlinde Mensching (CDU), who died during the electoral term. After the 2011 local elections, he was re-elected to office.

Community director / administration

In the constituent council meeting on November 8, 2011, Uwe Heilmann ( SPD ) was appointed by the Pohl municipal council to be the municipal director for the period from November 1, 2011 to October 31, 2014 . The administration takes place directly in the town hall of the integrated community in Rodenberg. There is no separate community office.

Sports

  • MTV Germania Pohle was founded in 1910. Within the MTV, the Musikzug - a shawm band - was founded in 1922. In 1928 the shawms were replaced by other wind instruments. A sports center with a sports field on site and a sports hall in neighboring Hülsede are available.
  • The Schützenverein Pohle dissolved at the end of 2016 due to a decline in membership, the Schützenhaus fell to the municipality of Pohle.

Economy and Infrastructure

Companies

Big companies haven't set up shop. Few parcels belong to the Lauenau industrial park. There are rather small-scale trades in the community.

Public facilities

  • The Bad Nenndorf Police Department is responsible for security and order. A police station is manned on day duty in Lauenau.
  • Fire protection and general help, especially at the local level, is provided by the Pohle volunteer fire brigade .

education

A kindergarten is available for pre-school care. Elementary school students attend the school in Lauenau. Secondary schools are located in Rodenberg and Bad Nenndorf.

traffic

The next motorway junction is Lauenau on the federal motorway 2 Hanover - Dortmund , about 3 km away. The B 442 runs north-east of the community and runs from Bad Münder to Wunstorf . The nearest train stations are in Bantorf and Haste . The public transport is served by the Schaumburger Verkehrs-Gesellschaft with the lines 2014, 2016 and 2020. Within the joint municipality of Rodenberg, the regular bus service is supplemented by the "call car" system.
