Qatar took part inthe 2012 Olympic Games in London . It was the eighth total participation in the Summer Olympics. The Qatari Olympic Committee nominated twelve athletes in four sports.

The flag bearer at the opening ceremony was the marksman Bahiya Al-Hamad .
