Sri Lanka took part inthe 2012 Olympic Games in London . It was the 16th participation in the Summer Olympics. The National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka nominated seven athletes in four sports.

Badminton player Niluka Karunaratne carried the Sri Lankan flag during the opening ceremony in the Olympic Stadium .
