Peru took part inthe 2012 Olympic Games in London . It was the 18th participation in the Summer Olympics. The Comité Olímpico Peruano nominated 15 athletes in nine sports.

The flag bearer at the opening ceremony was the marathon runner Gladys Tejeda .
