Rwanda took part inthe 2012 Olympic Games in London . It was the eighth total participation in the Summer Olympics. The Comité National Olympique et Sportif du Rwanda nominated seven athletes in five sports.

The standard bearer at the opening ceremony was mountain biker Adrien Niyonshuti .
