At the XX. During the 2006 Winter Olympics , three luge competitions were held. The Cesana Pariol railway is located near the village of Cesana Torinese , 97 kilometers west of Turin . It was 1435 meters long, had 19 curves and overcame a difference in altitude of 114 meters; top speeds of up to 130 km / h were achieved. The spectator capacity along the route was 7,000 (including 3,624 seats).
