Oonurme is a village ( Estonian küla ) in the rural municipality of Alutaguse ( Tudulinna until 2017 ). It is located in Ida-Viru County ( East Wierland ) in northeast Estonia .

The street village with its numerous thatched houses has 71 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011).

Personalities

The most famous son of the place is the Estonian writer and conservationist Juhan Lepasaar . He was born in 1921 on the “Lepasaare talu” farm belonging to Oonurme.
