Tagajõe is a village ( Estonian küla ) in the rural municipality of Alutaguse ( Tudulinna until 2017 ). It is located in Ida-Viru County ( East Wierland ) in northeast Estonia .

The village has 11 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011).

It is located on the Tagajõgi River , which has its source in Lake Tudu north of Tagajõe. The Tagajõgi is the largest tributary of the Rannapungerja ( Rannapungerja jõgi ).
