Võrnu is a village ( Estonian küla ) in the rural municipality of Alutaguse ( Mäetaguse until 2017 ). It is located in Ida-Viru County ( East Wierland ) in northeast Estonia .

Description and history

The village has 58 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011).

The place was first mentioned in a document in 1241. In 1788 the first school in town was founded.

The village's main attraction is a large boulder . It is 4.2 m wide and 5.6 m long. Its height is 2.9 m.
