Tarakuse is a village ( Estonian küla ) in the rural municipality of Alutaguse (until 2017 Mäetaguse ). It is located in Ida-Viru County ( East Wierland ) in northeast Estonia .

Description and history

The village has 14 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011).

The place was founded in 1907 when a few dozen Estonians from Avinurme bought up the Tarakuse estate and divided it up as farming land.
