Sahargu is a village ( Estonian küla ) in the rural municipality of Alutaguse ( Tudulinna until 2017 ). It is located in Ida-Viru County ( East Wierland ) in northeast Estonia .

Description and history

The village has 21 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2016).

At the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century, the place was mainly known for its wheelwright shops . The products were sold on the Estonian and Russian markets. In 1880 there were thirty to forty masterminds in Sahargu and the surrounding area.

Even today there is a wagon wheel in the coat of arms of the rural community of Tudulinna (see picture), which reminds of this tradition.
