Imatu is a village ( Estonian küla ) in the rural municipality of Alutaguse (until 2017 Iisaku ). It is located in Ida-Viru County ( East Wierland ) in northeast Estonia .

Description and history

The village has 5 inhabitants (as of October 16, 2010).

The largely natural Imatu Lake ( Imatu järv ) in the Ristikivi bog ( Ristikivi soo ) is a popular destination for anglers. It is a little over 28 hectares. Its greatest depth is two meters.
