The Paris ePrix 2017 (officially: 2017 FIA Formula E Qatar Airways Paris ePrix ) took place on May 20th on the Circuit des Invalides in Paris and was the sixth race of the FIA Formula E Championship 2016/17 . It was the second Paris ePrix.
For the first time in the history of the FIA Formula E Championship , a race took place just one week after the previous ePrix.

After the Monaco ePrix , Sébastien Buemi led the drivers' standings with 15 points ahead of Lucas di Grassi and with 56 points ahead of Nicolas Prost . In the team standings, Renault e.dams was 37 points ahead of ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport and 92 points ahead of Mahindra Racing .
At Dragon Racing , Mike Conway replaced Loïc Duval in this race , who was unable to contest the ePrix because of the DTM race at the Lausitzring . At Venturi , Tom Dillmann replaced Maro Engel , who also competed in the DTM, for an event . While Conway already contested seven races for Venturi in the 2015/16 FIA Formula E Championship , Dillmann made his debut in the FIA Formula E Championship in this race.
With Lucas di Grassi , a former winner entered the race.
Daniel Abt , Buemi and di Grassi received a so-called FanBoost , they were allowed to increase the output of their second vehicle to up to 200 kW and thus use up to 100 kilojoules of additional energy. Buemi and di Grassi each received the sixth FanBoost in the sixth race of the season and the thirteenth each in the FIA Formula E Championship, for Abt it was the fourth FanBoost this season.

In the first free practice session Buemi set the fastest time in 1: 01.998 minutes ahead of José María López and Jean-Éric Vergne .
In the second free practice, di Grassi was fastest in 1: 01.359 minutes ahead of López and Buemi.
Qualifying
Qualifying began at 12:00 p.m. and took place in four groups of five drivers each, each group had six minutes in which the drivers had a maximum of one timed lap with an output of 170 kW and then a maximum of one timed lap with an output of 200 kW were allowed to drive. Buemi was fastest with a lap time of 1: 02.171 minutes.
The five fastest drivers then drove in the first five positions in the individual time trial called Superpole . Buemi secured pole position with a lap time of 1: 02.319 minutes and thus three points. The other positions occupied Vergne, López, Oliver Turvey and Esteban Gutiérrez .

The race lasted 49 laps. The minimum time for changing vehicles was 70 seconds.
Buemi won ahead of López and Nick Heidfeld . The remaining points were placed by Felix Rosenqvist , Prost, Robin Frijns , Nelson Piquet jr. , Dillmann, Mitch Evans and Stéphane Sarrazin . The point for the fastest race lap went to Sam Bird .
In the driver and team standings, the first three places remained unchanged.
