In addition to the regular studio and best-of albums and the Disco series, the Pet Shop Boys released other albums, including the limited version of Very , the 2 CD Very Relentless (1993) and Closer to Heaven (2001).
In 1998 the CD Essential was released in the USA and Japan as a limited edition , which contains various alternative versions, mixes and remixes as well as 7 "versions.
In 2001, the Pet Shop Boys' first six studio albums were re-released in remastered form. The regular album contains a bonus CD, called Further Listening , with previously unreleased material, remixes and B-sides.
