Peter Kurt Wurzbach
Peter Kurt Würzbach (born December 15, 1937 in Göttingen ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and former officer . From 1982 to 1988 he was Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Minister of Defense .
education and profession
After graduating from a humanistic grammar school in Hamburg in 1957 , Würzbach joined the German Armed Forces to become a professional soldier . He also completed a degree in pedagogy , sociology and psychology at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität Kiel , which he completed in 1976 as a qualified pedagogue . From 1957 to 1976 he was mainly used as a technical officer and military driver examiner. Most recently he was a staff officer for internal leadership in the 6th Panzer Grenadier Division in Neumünster with the rank of major . As a reservist he was later promoted to lieutenant colonel d.R. promoted.
After leaving the Bundeswehr, he was a lecturer in sociology at the Kiel University of Applied Sciences and lectured at the Hermann Ehlers Academy . He also founded construction engineering companies in Chemnitz and Leipzig . He works as a freelance business consultant.
Peter Kurt Würzbach is married and has one daughter. His son died in 1996.
Party and MP
Würzbach has been a member of the CDU since 1964. From 1997 to 2000 he was chairman of the Schleswig-Holstein regional association . From 1976 to 2002 he was a member of the German Bundestag . There he was defense policy spokesman for the CDU / CSU parliamentary group from 1980 to October 4, 1982, and their disarmament policy spokesman from 1990 to 1994 . In 1980 and 1998, Peter Kurt Würzbach entered the Bundestag via the Schleswig-Holstein state list and otherwise always as a directly elected member of the Segeberg – Stormarn-Nord constituency .
Public offices
On October 4, 1982 Würzbach was as Parliamentary Secretary to the Federal Minister of Defense in the by Chancellor Helmut Kohl led government appointed. On December 19, 1988, he left office.
He is a member of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (ISS) in London. From 1991 to 1995 he was President of the Association of Reservists of the German Armed Forces and also a member of the Advisory Board for questions relating to internal leadership .
Würzbach was mayor of Klein Rönnau for 25 years until 1995 .
