history

The small village called Drutzken in earlier times consisted of several farms before 1945. In 1874 the place - now called Pablindszen - was incorporated into the newly established district of Adlersfelde (today in Polish: Orliniec), which - renamed "Amtsgebiet Unterfelde " (Polish: Golubie) in 1939 - existed until 1945 and became the district of Goldap in the administrative district of Gumbinnen belonged to the Prussian province of East Prussia .

In 1910 there were 85 registered residents in Pablindszen. Their number rose to 94 by 1925, to 105 in 1933 and only 82 in 1939.

On September 17, 1936, the name was changed from Pablindszen to “Pablindschen”, but the place was renamed “Zollteich” on June 3, 1938 as part of the National Socialist renaming campaign , as an allusion to the function of the village as it existed until 1945 - Border crossing point to Poland .

As a result of the war, the place was transferred to Poland with all of southern East Prussia in 1945 . In the same year the name changed to "Pobłędzie", which was also given to the lake.

Today Pobłędzie is a village in the Gmina Dubeninki association in the Powiat Gołdapski of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship .
