The Porsche Super B 308 is a tractor from Porsche-Diesel Motorenbau GmbH , which was based in Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance and produced the tractor model from 1958 to 1961. The Super B 308 was designed to open up additional sales areas on the tractor market. The basis was the Porsche Super N 308 with its wide range of attachment and application options.
The engine of the Porsche Super B 308 was an upright three-cylinder diesel engine with air cooling . This is particularly characterized by the pressure circulation lubrication. As with numerous previous models, the Porsche Optima combustion process is also used in the Porsche Super B 308. The tractor is also equipped with a Bosch injection system, an oil bath air filter and a radial cooling fan with thermostat control. The Porsche Super B 308 was optionally available with a hydraulic power lift from Scherff or a power lift . A hydraulic Schmidt suspension arm was integrated in the Porsche tractor so that various devices could be quickly attached. A hydraulic pump , which served as a swash plate pump, was attached to the front PTO .
The Porsche tractor is available with a wide range of special equipment. This includes the convertible top , the tipper connection and the compressed air brake connection for trailer operation. The tractor also has a three-phase generator, the drive axle trailer and a road profiling device. Other accessories include the oil-hydraulic steering, the tire inflation pump and a power lift . The rear wheels of the Porsche Super B 308 are also equipped with internal shoe brakes. The independent handbrake acts on the transmission . If operation with trailers is to take place, a compressed air brake connection could be installed on request. The Porsche Super B 308 also features a parallelogram suspension seat with rubber suspension, a quadruple indicator light and a fuel gauge. The tractor can optionally be equipped with a driver's roof or a heater .
