Praha (until 1927 also "Prága" in Slovak; in Hungarian Gácsprága - until 1902 Prága ) is a municipality in southern Slovakia . It is located in the Ostrôžky Mountains , 15 km west of Lučenec .
The community was founded by the Hussites in the 15th century and was first mentioned in writing in 1451. The name probably goes back to the Bohemian capital Prague , from whose surroundings the Hussites who settled here were probably expelled.
The municipality maintains friendly relations with the Czech capital.
